1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering for, or using TailoredResume (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes ongoing acceptance of any future revisions.

2. Service Description & AI Disclaimer

TailoredResume provides an AI-assisted resume tailoring engine (the "Service") that reformats and restructures user-provided resume content to align with third-party job descriptions.

⚠️ Critical Disclaimer: The output generated by our AI engine is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or error-free. Large Language Models (LLMs) can produce inaccurate, misleading, or fabricated content (commonly known as "hallucinations"). You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying 100% of the content in any generated resume before submitting it to an employer, recruiter, or any third party.

3. No Employment Guarantee

TailoredResume makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees that use of the Service will result in job interviews, job offers, employment, or any other career outcome. Results vary entirely based on individual qualifications, market conditions, employer decisions, and other factors entirely outside our control.

4. User Responsibilities & Conduct

  • You agree the Master Profile and all data you provide is accurate, truthful, and belongs to you.
  • You may not use TailoredResume to fabricate credentials, experience, or degrees, or to impersonate another individual.
  • You are solely responsible for any misrepresentation made to an employer, including all legal or professional consequences arising from it.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Service.
  • You agree not to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data or models from our platform.

5. Credits, Billing & Refunds

  • Free Tier: New accounts receive a limited number of complimentary credits. These do not expire but are non-transferable.
  • Pro Plan: Billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing cycle. No prorated refunds.
  • Refund Policy: All purchases are generally non-refundable due to the immediate compute costs of AI inference, unless a documented system failure on our end prevented service delivery. Refund requests may be directed to support@tailoredresume.online.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your Master Profile data and the content you provide. You grant TailoredResume a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely to provide the Service. We do not use your personal resume content to train AI models. The TailoredResume platform, brand, code, and UI are proprietary and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TailoredResume, its founders, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of employment opportunities, income, or career advancement
  • Damage to professional reputation from an AI-generated resume
  • Data loss or service interruptions
  • Any third-party actions resulting from use of our resume outputs

Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $50 CAD, whichever is greater.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@tailoredresume.online. Only your 10 most recent resume generations are retained; older generations are automatically deleted.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Surrey, BC, Canada.
